Club Med: combining employment and disability

Worker setting a table

At Club Med, all positions are open to people with disabilities. Convinced that the diversity of its G.Os and G.Es profiles is a real asset, Club Med works daily to integrate candidates with disabilities, then supports them throughout their career with the company, in Resorts, offices and travel agencies.

How do you find a job when you're disabled?

At Club Med, nearly 130 jobs are open to people from all backgrounds, cultures, nationalities and educational backgrounds... And people with disabilities are welcome to join our teams. Our recruiters are all aware of disability issues, and if they wish, candidates can indicate their status as a disabled worker at the start of the recruitment process, or during discussions with recruiters. Finding a job at Club Med, whether seasonal or regular, is an opportunity open to all profiles capable of embodying the values of our brand. Enthusiasm, a sense of customer service, kindness and open-mindedness are all essential qualities for working with us.

Club Med's Mission Handicap

In 2007, Club Med set up Mission Handicap to welcome disabled employees into the company. A number of targets have been set, including recruitment, induction and integration, as well as job retention and outplacement. The aim is to provide the best response to the specific needs of disabled employees throughout their careers. The list is not exhaustive, and Club Med is working hard to raise awareness on the subject of disability in the workplace. Clear, detailed information is also available on the Club Med sales website, providing G.Ms with the necessary information on the accessibility of the Resorts by type of disability.

Club Med: a responsible and committed employer

For Club Med, diversity is a strength. In addition to Mission Handicap, Club Med has been a member of the French Diversity Charter since 2004, which includes a large number of initiatives to promote diversity. For example, internal promotion is strongly encouraged (100% of Chefs de Village come from this background), and for those who work in the Resort. A multitude of nationalities are also represented, and specific training in multicultural team management is also provided.

Employment and disability: Club Med's action

At Club Med, all job offers are of course open to disabled workers, and specific measures are in place to facilitate their integration. Adaptation of working hours or tasks, financing of ergonomic or adapted equipment, support in applying for disability compensation benefits, assistance with training, specific paid leave of absence, additional days of teleworking in the areas concerned, coverage of sums remaining due after deduction of certain public aid schemes... these are just some of the initiatives that Club Med is pleased to be able to offer disabled workers.
