What sectors are recruiting for the summer season?

The summer period offers job prospects in many areas of activity. If you live in a tourist region, you can turn to companies in this sector. Hotel and catering professionals reinforce their teams in summer by hiring seasonal workers. But you can also find a job in the leisure and entertainment sector.

At Club Med, we hire new staff every summer to complete our teams. Restaurant, accommodation, hotel, events, technical: we recruit professionals in a wide range of sectors.

What contracts are available for a summer job?

Like any job, a summer job must be covered by a contract that complies with the French Labor Code. This could be a fixed-term contract, a seasonal contract or a temporary employment contract. This will depend on the duration of the assignment, the reason for hiring, and a number of other business-related factors.

Club Med offers positions on seasonal fixed-term contracts, lasting from 2 to 8 months. Depending on the position and the need for qualified personnel, these contracts can evolve into permanent contracts.

At what age can you sign a seasonal contract?

In theory, it's possible to work from the age of 16. To do so, the minor (not emancipated) must have written authorization from his or her parents or legal representatives. However, certain activities are forbidden to young people under 18, and others are subject to specific regulations. That's why it's a good idea to find out what the rules are before signing a seasonal contract.

In addition, working conditions for minors must be relaxed. For example, working hours may not exceed 7 hours a day, and night work is prohibited.

Please note that at Club Med, we only recruit candidates over the age of 18.
