Leisure Safety & Health Manager

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Ensure the Sports safety and lifeguard training of the resorts under your responsibility (SEAP Resorts).
• Provide internal expertise for any issues related to leisure safety, health and lifeguards/pool safety.
• Assist EHS teams in the resorts
• Conduct regular inspections in resorts for leisure and infirmary services, including outsourced services
• Monitor the Infirmaries to ensure they are conforming to the guidelines & standards expected within Club Med.
• Oversee the opening of new resorts in the areas of activity emergency equipment, SOE’s, sports safety & training.
• Coordinate and support local resort team in case of sensitive situation or crisis related to the scope
  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To be support on organization of all emergency training for the GO teams/Lifeguards
• To be professional and an ambassador for Sports & Leisure safety, as well as health
• To identify any Circus safety issues & co-ordinate with the Circus Product Owner for solutions
• To monitor & give technical support on safety for other leisure activities: Events/Amazing Family, Circus, Family, excursion, including outsourced activities. To ensure that those services meet Club Med requirements, coordinating with related Products owners/managers.
• To liaise regularly with the BU Environment, Hygiene & Safety Director.
• To maintain an excellent relationship with the Lifeguarding organisations Royal Lifesaving Society of Australia & Balawista for Indonesia.
• To work with/inform/communicate directly with CDV, P&S related managers on a professional basis as well establishing a level of reliability & trust.

LIST OF TASKS

Mission 1: Continuously improve the activity safety in the resorts

·       Monitoring & travelling regularly to a selection of resorts to promote/enforce leisure safety.

·       Detailed reporting on each resort visited.

·       Monitor & advise/support to order all sports activities emergency equipment incorporating all resorts AED’s as well.

·       Liaise with EHS manager/GO team to oversee all infectious disease prevention measures for leisure in the resorts.

·       Accompany and follow the local authority’s health & safety guidelines for leisure.

·       Evaluate & confirm all leisure activity/beach/pool permits for the SEAP resorts.

·       Be actively involved in the management of a health & leisure safety crisis in the resorts.

·       Monitor & assist/comment where needed for all monthly Leisure SMICE and infirmary.

·       Oversee all Leisure health & safety signages for the activities.

·       Establish an online presence for promoting the health & safety of our leisure activities as well as looking at the potential for improving the marketing of these products.

·       Propose material purchases for resorts within the needs of your scope.

·       Propose equipment or structural modifications (CAPEX, OPEX, etc.).

·       Create / modify / propose new procedures where needed.

·       Assist for the needs for the safety of all sports activities with all sports Managers.

·       Implement or update existing SOP’s for the safety/running of the leisures activities.

Mission 2 : Training

·       In connection with UDT & external companies etc. ensure all needed training is executed by season.

·       Create a training plan in collaboration with the team in place.

·       Record the training performed.

·       Ensure& monitor that all Lifeguard licenses by village are valid & up to date, as well as sertficiates for high risk activities

·       Train and raise awareness amongst the team.

·       Ensure the organization of internal CPR/emergency training for the teams via outsourced organisations.

·       Monitor that Epi-pen & CPR training is completed every season in the resorts.

Mission 3: Risks Prevention to the community and individuals

·       Ensure all Club Med guidelines are implemented & strictly followed.

·       Follow and support the village on any incidents and procedures to be followed.

·       Reminding the teams of the good practices of safety/hygiene in their workplace and check that they are applied.

·       Coordinate and support local resort team in case of sensitive situation or crisis related to the scope

·       Identify and analyse the failures and non-conformities, diagnose the causes and identify corrective actions in conjunction with village/office management.

·       Support Sales manager and purchasing team to ensure the presence of EHS requirements in the contract with outsourced leisure services (contradictory control, safety charter…), as well as their proper implementation.

Mission 4 : Coaching, guidance and develop talents

·       Identify and motivate qualified talent; participating in recruitment for Lifeguarding positions and nurses

·       Accompany on-boarding, integration process and mission tasks

• Ensure with strong guidance & training that our resorts do not have incidents.
• Maintaining that the safety & health of our guests/staff is a high priority.
• Ensure proper training and certifications are given to our staff in First Aid & Lifeguards, as well as sports at risk (ex : Climbing) in the resorts; enhance sports safety related topics

Stake KPIs 

• Prevention of accidents/incidents; participating/supporting with related crisis management

Education : Certified international Lifeguard & First Aid trainer

Job experience :    Experienced sports safety fields; resorts, Ski safety, CPR

Knowledge: Expertise on First aid; sports safety; life guarding, pool safety, Ski safety, first aid

Skills:Trainer skills, coaching, communication, management

Technical skills (tools…) : Proficient in using emergency equipment, PowerPoint presentation, Excel worksheet, Word document and organisation

Languages: English
