What does a Club Med kitchen look like?
Becoming a Club Med Chef means joining one of the world's most prestigious vacation groups. Because providing quality cuisine for hundreds of people at a time is a daunting daily challenge, Club Med kitchens are nothing short of impressive. They are made up of brigades ranging from 40 to 80 Chefs from all over the world. Their mission? To serve between 500 and 1,500 guests a day, either by plate, buffet or show cooking!
Become a Club Med Cook and gain solid professional experience
Being a chef in a Resort requires a high degree of versatility in the world of catering. Indeed, the person who holds this position must be able to work as part of a team and adapt to local diets, whatever part of the globe they may be in. At Club Med, all our dishes are created using fresh produce. Moreover, each Cook works in a number of different positions. In turn, you'll discover the buffet area, the gourmet restaurant, traditional cuisine, snacking, show cooking... At Club Med, everything is done to impress our customers and delight their taste buds! Becoming a Club Med chef means acquiring solid professional skills.
What does it take to become a Club Med Cook?
At Club Med, more than 3,000 meals are served throughout the day, and more than 1,000 international recipes are prepared every day! To become a Club Med Cook, you'll need to be rigorous and passionate about your work. Each of our dishes must create an emotion for our customers and help them travel. Being a Resort Cook therefore requires a certain amount of creativity. Through your technique, you'll be in charge of creating real explosions of flavor, and you'll need to be able to surprise each and every one of our customers, even the most discerning gourmets...
What is the Institut du Goût by Club Med?
The Institut du Goût by Club Med is an innovative concept that facilitates the integration of new G.Os and G.Es in kitchen by helping them become acculturated to Club Med values. It also enables us to offer all our teams greater technical and managerial expertise in standards of excellence, to meet development challenges and to build loyalty. The Institut du Goût by Club Med opens the way to further training for G.Os and G.Es already working in our Resorts. Over 90% of G.Es and G.Os in the kitchen recruits complete a training course before joining our Resorts.
The Institut du Goût by Club Med offers a range of 5- to 12-day training courses adapted to trainees' skill levels. In addition to on-site training at our Resorts, our courses are available online with digital learning modules. The Institut du Goût by Club Med is made up of Kitchen referents responsible for implementing training courses, and a network of mobile Resort referents to train trainees.
