The Youth Activity Leaders' Certificate is suitable for people who like to live in a community and work in a team with young people. The Youth Activity Leaders' Certificate allows you to work in France, but also abroad. It offers many opportunities, particularly during school vacations and extracurricular activities. Club Med regularly recruits staff with a Youth Activity Leaders' Certificate to accompany children and teenagers in its many resorts in France and abroad. This is an excellent way to make the most of your diploma and to specialize in socio-cultural and sports activities.

What to do with a Youth Activity Leaders' Certificate at Club Med?

With a Youth Activity Leaders' in animation, you can join our team of Childcare Coordinators. This position is also available with a BAFA, a BAPAAT, a BAFD, a BEATEP and a BPJEPS. Your goal will be to carry out fun and sports activities with children aged 4 to 17. You will have to organize and lead game workshops and shows. You can also use your imagination and create your own activities, always keeping in mind the values and ethics of Club Med. To supervise children, you must first build their confidence. Your main mission is to help them experience fun and create authentic, joyful and unforgettable memories. As a Childcare Coordinator, you are responsible for guaranteeing the safety of the children and for respecting and enforcing the rules of hygiene during their entire stay. You must therefore ensure that the activities run smoothly while remaining vigilant. To facilitate communication with children of all nationalities, English is a prerequisite, with some exceptions. English is indeed a universal language, which will also be highly appreciated when communicating with parents. The position of Childcare Coordinator is provided with food and lodging for a flat fee.

How does the Youth Activity Leaders' Certificate animation training work?

To obtain your Youth Activity Leaders' Certificate, you must be at least 17 years old and register on the dedicated website. The Youth Activity Leaders' Certificate animation training is not free and lasts a maximum of 30 months. It is characterized by two sessions of theoretical training and a practical course. The first step is the general training session which lasts at least 8 days and teaches you the basic notions to exercise the functions of animation. You will learn the rules of safety and supervision of children. The second step is the practical training. It lasts a minimum of 14 days and must take place in France in a group setting for minors. It allows you to put into practice everything you have learned. The third and last step is the deepening session which lasts at least 6 days or the qualification session which lasts at least 8 days. It is used to complete your training and to deepen your knowledge of a sector of animation. The Youth Activity Leaders' Certificate allows you to work at Club Med's Mini-Club from the age of 18.
