Give a reliable vision of the business through accounting, support the Benelux director in the optimization of the costs and business and prevent the legal social and tax risks.
Mission 1 : Country accounting and processes
Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
Ensure the month-end close process according to Group standards & the annual financial statements
Ensure the preparation and timely filing of all local requirements and tax returns
Ensure the bank reconciliation
Ensure the credit collection in coordination with sales Managers, customer care manager and Meetings & Events Manager
Ensure communication with internal auditors, tax authorities and tax advisors
Mission 2 : Ensure financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting
Review and analyse monthly financial results, provide recommendations and ensure communication with corporate
Analyse the transport margin per destination
Prepare and present monthly forecast reports (Top line and costs) based on the meetings
Prepare the annual budget and plan once a year
Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives
Mission 3 : Keep updated on local regulation and leverage them to optimize accounting
Inform all the managers of a change in financial local regulations as well as taxation
Ensure compliance with the legal /fiscal evolutions of the country including Financial/Accounting requirements
Consult with Local Tax Specialist ensuring optimum result at country level in consultation with HO Tax Department
Alert the Country Director if there is a problem
Mission 4 : Administration
Handle supplies purchases, rent contract, etc.
Renegotiate contracts optimizing Cost Savings
Ensure the IT (servers, systems) is properly operating with the help of an external provider and our IT department in Paris
Mission 5 : Human Resources
Manage all the staff administration (employment contracts, personal files, staff declaration, expatriation contracts…)
Make HR reporting (monthly staff report, Workday…)
Ensure the respect of labour law (working conditions, security...) & alert Country Director in case of problem or risks
Ensure the monthly payrolls and make salary payments
Mission 6 : Manage and develop the accounting team

Lead annual assessments and recommend evolutions, salary increase
Develop team skills by identifying training needs, coaching and training team members
