Hello, my name is Marie and I am 28 years old. I am a former G.O Resort and I'm currently working in the Lyon headquarters in the HR Department, since December 12th, 2021.
What do you like the most about Club Med?
"What I like about Club Med is the DNA. I have traveled a lot, but Club Med, is really a whole world apart. That's what I like about it. It's the atmosphere, it's a family, It's everything!"
Tell us about your experience in the Resort?
"I started as a G.E (Gentil Employée) Restaurant in Peisey-Vallandry (France). The following season, I worked directly at the bar, as a G.O (Gentil Organisateur) I worked 3 seasons as a G.O Bar and then I was transferred to Les Arcs Panorama (France), as a Bar Manager Assistant."
What is your current role at the office?
"I'm in charge of the administrative part in the Human Resources department. I'm the one who organizes everything, who coordinates, the journey, that everything goes well, that the person arrives well at the resort. And also, everything related to work permits, all the administrative part of the confirmed G.Os."
What qualities do you think it's important to have to work at Club Med?
"I would say flexibility, to be very friendly to be always benevolent, always sociable and to have the sense of detail."
How did you go from the Resort to the Office?
"So that's also something magic about Club Med. I met people who worked in the office and I got along very well with them. I had the chance of meeting the right person one evening at Club Med as it exists all year round, in all seasons."
What do you like the most about your current role?
"First of all, the team. Really, we have an Administrative team that is just amazing I found the same Club Med spirit that we had in the Resort. You can inmediatly feel it in offices."
What is your best memory at Club Med?
"One memory that made a special impression on me, I think, was my first New Year. My first season as a G.O Bar in Peisey-Vallandry. It is particular to see the others having fun around and to tell yourself "well, ok you are working". But as we were all in the same atmosphere, there was an emotion at that moment which I will remember, I think, my whole life. We were all really connected, we felt like a real family and it felt good at that moment because we all needed it. It was great!"
What phrase do you repeat all the time?
"So, one phrase that I used to say and that I say very, very often now is "With pleasure!". For anything and everything, we always answer "With pleasure"!"
What did you learn at Club Med?
"The resort experience has opened me up to others enormously. That's great, to meet people at the café, in the evening, at the bar... I have true friendships that were born at Club Med. I still have contact with them today. So that's really good. And in the office, this has helped me to have a little more organized life. There's a little of both. I got a lot out of both today."
How would you define your experience in one word?
"So there won't be one word, there will be two. I would say "Life experience". If you have worked during a season at Club Med, then you can go and work anywhere in the world, it will be easy!"
