Club Med Lab: Club Med's new cooking innovation challenge is launched

As a pillar of Club Med's All Inclusive offer, the Table is an integral part of the reputation of the world leader in premium all-inclusive vacations. A forerunner in its approach to services, the group is determined to innovate and anticipate new desires, especially those of families. With this in mind, Club Med has just launched a new edition of its international inter-school cuisine competition, Club Med Lab.

Through this stimulating event, culinary students and young graduates will participate in the creation of a new catering offer within the framework of an international vacation hotel structure. The challenge: to reinvent a balanced and diversified offer for children aged 6 to 12, in an All Inclusive/free service buffet environment offering numerous alternatives. Four themes will illustrate the new concept ideas: food & beverage offer, staging and service of the buffet offer, team cohesion and employee recruitment and a free theme to think "out of the box".

 

A real professional springboard, the Club Med Lab Cuisine will enable participants to contribute to the evolution of their business practices and to propose their recommendations, thanks to a gamification process. The winning team will receive an all-inclusive trip to Club Med with a companion. And all the finalists will be lucky because they will be invited to pitch at the resort in front of a grand jury of professionals and influencers, in the presence of their school's representative. They will all leave with beautiful souvenirs and numerous prizes.

Club Med Lab is also fully in line with our global strategy for sourcing and recruiting new culinary talent," says Guillaume Radius, Director of Hospitality and Leisure at Club Med.

 

The challenge takes place in several stages:

First selection stage - before Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.: submission of the project by team on the dedicated platform: www.clubmedlab.com

- Second selection stage - from Tuesday, February 7 to Tuesday, March 7, 2023: the selected teams produce a 3-minute video. 

At the end of this stage, a maximum of 4 projects are selected by the jury and 1 team is elected by the public via a vote on the platform from March 7 to March 14, 2023.

The final - early April 2023: the five finalist teams are invited to pitch their project in front of a jury made up of industry players, Club Med Top Management and a representative from their school.
