Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Your role

• Responsible for: controlling food and labor costs by estimating needs and utilizing proper purchasing and staffing procedures
• Assist in the purchasing and controlling of inventory for food, beverage, and supplies, including the Bar
• Controlling the delivery of all merchandise including verifying the quantity received vs the quantity ordered
• Controlling the costs and invoices, verifying the expiration dates of products received while abiding by all rules and regulations
• Maintain clean and orderly food and beverage facilities at all times
• Assist the F&B Manager, relieving him as the person in charge during his days off and vacation
• Assist the area managers (Chef, Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager) during busy times.
Your profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in Food and Beverage cost management
• Knowledge of inventory management principles; ability to forecast inventory and staffing needs
• Knowledge of all proper food preparation and storage
• Knowledge of Hygiene and Food Safey (Certification a plus)
• Flexibility and adaptability required
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Bilingual preferred, English + French or Spanish.
• Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel (Software " Ecomat " is based in Windows)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with a focus on hospitality or restaurant management, business or related field
